About

You want to know who we are?
We’re men.

You want to know why we do this?
Because not that long ago, all of our eyes were open to the glories of craft beer. We tasted a little bit of that glory, and we wanted more. At first, we kept it to ourselves. We kept a log of all the great micro-brew beers we tried, we jotted down a few notes to remind us of what was great, what was good, and what we should NEVER TALK ABOUT AGAIN (we’re looking at you Sam Adams Triple Bock).

This log evolved into a rating system, because we didn’t like the rating methods that we saw other people using. We want to simplify the beer enjoyment process, we want to bring people into the microbrew fold who may have previously been too confused by it to want to try it.
Beer isn’t just for chugging, or bonging, or kegstanding. There are beers out there that make you pause and think while they swirl around your mouth. There are beers out there that have more than just a beer flavor. There are beers that can trigger emotional responses you probably never thought you could get from a beverage.
All we’re asking you to do is stick them in your mouth. Taste the glory.

Why Tuesday Nights?
A simple question, with a simple answer: Why not?
Craft beers are too fine a product to be relegated to only Friday or Saturday night. With craft beers, the end goal isn’t to simply “get bombed”. You don’t eat Thanksgiving dinner to get so full you hurl, do you? No, you do it because all the hard work and time that went into making something so delicious deserves to be enjoyed any day of the week.

Over the last 5 years, the founders of this organization have ritualistically gotten together on Tuesday Nights. On these nights, we are men. On these nights, we are free. On these nights, we throw darts, we play poker, shoot pool, or watch a movie so laced with explosions and bullets that even Michael Bay says “DAMN, who did that??“.
We’re in the man cave. The garage. The home theater. The pub.
We talk about things that matter, like how to build a home made trebuchet, how to improve the economy, and beer.

So who are we?
We’re 8 guys that want to share what we know and love about beer with you. Within this circle of men are those that enjoy light and hoppy brews to those that enjoy the richest and darkest of beers. We believe this range in tastes provides a reliable and credible rating of craft beers from micro-brews to large breweries from all over the world.
